Swedish Massage
This is the uber-relaxing, feel-good massage of your dreams. We apply light to moderate pressure and trusted techniques to promote relaxation. Prepare to exhale your cares away! Or walk right in, float right out.
What is Swedish massage?
Considered the classic, Swedish massage combines rolling, kneading, and percussion along with smooth, gliding strokes to improve circulation and gently smooth away aches. Other benefits can include decreased stress levels, improved sleep, enhanced mental clarity, higher SAT scores (why not!), and greater flexibility.

Deep Tissue Massage
With deep tissue massage, we work slowly and deeply into the muscles to loosen knots (adhesions), scar tissue, and tightness. We also use a variety of techniques to target the muscles that are causing you pain and tension, thereby relieving and releasing muscle spasms. Always following this stronger pressure is a lighter touch to help the body relax and let go.
Who would benefit most from deep tissue massage?
Deep tissue massage is excellent for anyone suffering from chronic pain, whether chronic muscle tension or sustained physical injury. It is also recommended for those who engage in heavy physical activity—or if you find Swedish massage too whatev. Go deep or go home!

Myofascial Release
This specialized modality calls for a variety of techniques, including deep tissue massage, stretching, and movement (“unwinding”) to release chronic pain. When other types of massage just won’t do, myofascial release to the rescue—and after just one session.
What is myofascial release?
In Latin, myo means “muscle” and fascia means “fibrous brands.” Thus myofascial bodywork targets not just the muscles but the connective tissue that surrounds all muscles, tendons, ligaments, bones, and organs within the body. And while regular massage involves stroking and kneading, myofascial release requires steady pressure on the pain points to soften the fascia, which is quite strong. But fascia is also flexible and responds well to stretching.
Who would benefit from myofascial release?
Anyone guilty of overtraining or (stubbornly) working out despite your body telling you—let’s say you continue to run all five miles, ignoring the pain in your left knee and without realizing you are altering your gait to overcompensate, in turn causing pain in your other knee too. Double ouch. Or if you are a golfer who just cannot get past your shoulder ache.
It’s also helpful in treating recurrent back pain, neck pain, headaches, and sports injuries as well as scoliosis, among other conditions.

Athletic Massage
Running, cycling, paddleboarding, you name it—we’ll create a massage that addresses your particular athletic endeavors. We tailor PNF stretches, pressure, and pace to help you improve your range of motion, increase flexibility, and reduce the risk of injury when preparing for or rehabilitating from a marathon (or a fierce ping pong tournament).
Wait, what are PNF stretches?
With origins in rehab bodywork, proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation (PNF) involves both stretching and contracting the target muscle group in brief alternating intervals. It is widely considered superior to other types of stretching in increasing flexibility and range of motion because it also helps strengthen those muscles.

Enhance your experience with add-ons
The following add-ons are available to enhance your experience (as noted).
Fascia Blaster
If your fascia isn’t functioning properly, it can weaken blood flow to muscles, impede flexibility, and cause cellulite. Enter the fascia blaster (thanks Ashely Black!). The spiky wand works wonders on target areas, improving circulation and leaving you with taut skin. It also alleviates muscle soreness.
Dry Brushing
Your skin is your body’s largest organ. So body brushing is designed to stimulate the processes in the body that will improve your overall health—i.e., improving blood flow to all points of your body, stimulating glands to flush out toxins, and awakening nerve endings to reduce stress and muscular tension. It also has an exfoliating effect, leaving your skin invigorated, glowing, and silky smooth.
